3 months!

Again....where is the time going? Owen and I have had a major life transition this week now that I have gone back to work. Ok, Daddy too! The first whole week was absolutely exhausting! I don't even want to count that I now have a cold that I am passing onto Owen. Being back in the general public will do that to you. Hopefully though, with breastfeeding I am still giving Owen all that he needs as far as fighting germies off! Brian and I wake him at 6am and I feed him for about 20 minutes. His little eyeballs are closed the entire time. Then we change him and send him on his way by 6:50 or so. Brian takes him to the sitters. I now get to shower and eat in 30 minutes and Im out the door. Owen is doing great during the day. I get little notes everyday about what he does at Krissys'. He sleeps until 9:30 or so, eats 6oz at 10am, then at 2pm. He gets 1 or 2 more naps in, has some tummy time and plays with his girlfriend Addy, who is an older woman at 5 months :) I pick him up by 5pm (or on wednesdays 12) and we rush home, feed and let the dogs out, then I feed Owen at 6pm. The Brian gets home and we somehow eat dinner, play with our baby, then he eats 2 more times before bed. He cluster feeds so he can get enough for the night. I can put him down by 9pm and he is happy. It is pretty hard to get to sleep earlier than that though. I guess we are all happy to see eachother and want to stay up. Being a working mama is hard! No joke! This is 2 jobs. I like being at work though. It is nice to get back to a daily routine and treat people in the real world. I get to talk about him all day :) Of course I think about what I am missing, but we have quality time at home too. I cannot resent my choice. Pumping is a whole other story....at 10 and 2 I pump and it takes 15 minutes. Ive gotten pretty good, but my job is hard to step away from. It is sometimes hard to find a place to do it too, sometimes in the MD's office! I am making enough and thensome for him, so we are all happy and healthy! I have also lost 8 lbs in the past 3 weeks so I have THAT to be thankful for too!

Owen is awesome, by the way! He has finally started smiling and cooing more, and I even heard some squealy laughs this morning :) so cute!! Brian has also taught him how to mimic us and blow bubble and farty noises....also very cute!!! He is still really good at reaching for toys, and sucking on his hands. He is bringing the toys to his mouth and trying to bite them now. He is not the greatest on his tummy. He does mini-pushups, but mostly just trys to eat the floor and push his head into it with his legs. its funny...but he needs practice. We have also moves the bath into the bathtub....he is a kicker and splasher now! New videos coming on his website....check it out!
