We have officially named her Kendall! It was a name that was on both mine and Brian's lists ;)
We have not thought of a middle name yet, or even began to think about it. We like to call her by her name, she is already feeling like a member of the family. I am talking to her and telling her all about her big brother and how excited he is to meet her and play! Owen is now asking if she is kicking and he will feel my belly. He also likes to tell people that his sister is in my belly and her name is Kendall! I love it. He will be such a good big brother. I have no doubt he will be protective of her, then probably try to get rid of her, then love her again :)
At the 24 week appointment, I had fabulous blood pressure, and I think I have gained about 17 lbs so far...yikes. But, the great news is I measured exactly 24cm, right on track. Kendall's heartbeat was really hard to track down and she literally kicked the doppler. Heartrate was 154 bpm. It was a short and sweet appointment, and the 28 week appointment was made during which I will do the 1 hour glucose test and have the last routine blood tests for anemia. So far we are cruising and I am feeling really good, and have not had any real bad days at work yet. I did have to take an Ativan for a terrible pending panic attack last week at 4am, but have not had an episode since so I will take that. Kendall is a very busy baby with lots and lots of kicks and rolls! She also feels quite low, so I frequently have to sit back and give her some space while sitting at my desk at work. I have however been able to use my belly as a fulcrum to stretch some shoulders~
Purple/pink elephants have infiltrated the nursery, and Grandpap and Mimi are coming this week to put some crown molding up and paint the room! yay!!! There is so much less to do this time, and more time to enjoy the ride!
