Going Broke!

We ordered and purchased our furniture and bedding this weekend! Yay! We ended up going to the specialty store for our furniture and ordered the Munire Essex collection. It is really beautiful, and is made of mahogany so it better last longer than we do!! I think this is the only "real" piece of furniture I own...It converts to a full size bed eventually, and the dresser/ hutch combo can be used as a changing table. Hopefully this will also be useful for number 2 :) ( no we are not planning yet!) The bad part about ordering such fantastic stuff is that we may not get it until Thanksgiving or even Christmas. I am hoping that they tell you 8-14 weeks to cover their butt...So , I guess I won't be uber decorating the nursery to finality until the holidays. Here is the crib and hutch we ordered. We also have an armoir close to this color.

Our bedding is on its way now from target! yay!!! I will have nowhere to put it yet but at least I didn't have to order it from some salesperson at the specialty store! Im not a fan of sales people... The bedding is from Sumersault, an awesome company that has 200 thread-count sheets from 100% cotton. All the appliques are sewn on well, and they are reasonably priced. I have been obsessed with this book, Baby Bargains (thanks Mary!!!). It has great ways to save, where to buy from, and what to buy, and what not to waste your money on. It also has great safety advice which is something you do not know about yet as a new parent. Hence the reason we skipped on the bumper pads and are going with mesh breathable ones from babies r us. Even if you get sucked into the fun of picking out clothes and toys, at least you feel you have a secret weapon in your back pocket to ward off those "new parent, sucker gadgets and options". Any parent to be NEEDS to buy this book!!! We also ordered the foam mattress with our crib. So here is our bedding. I loved the bright colors, and animals!! Jeannie, or should I say, Gigi is already making the afghan for baby boy, and Great Joanan will hopefully get the word on the colors and make our quilt!!! We are still waiting on Mummy's grandma name... and as for our baby boys name??? Not sure of the whole thing yet! You're gonna have to wait a bit longer :) Im am headed to a wedding this weekend so I will post pictures of me in a bridesmaid dress ( eeek) and other bumps pics!
