39 weeks

Sigh....we are still here...intact as one...

I had my 39 week check yesterday and I am a "loose 1 cm" , cervix is soft and I am 30% effaced. So, some little changes happening but nothing to pack my bags for. Apparently I am going to be that momma that pops one day, or justs creeps into labor without a slow progression. We had to do a double check about his position with an ultrasound too because Dr. Pringle could not touch his head. The US showed us that he is still head down (yay) but he is a little to the side of my cervix, and therefore not as far down as he could be. While we were watching him he was wiggling, waving, kicking, grabing his cord, turning his head. We couldnt even pin him down for a face picture! There is excellent fluid content though, and he looks to have all the right parts still....so there is some good news! So, we concluded to schedule a 40 week check, and a 40 ultrasound to check his size again since it has been a month. At that point we will make a decision about 1. waiting 2. planned c-section if he is huge 3. induciton if I have progressed any.
She is on call Friday, so we are headed to B Dubs tonight for some hot wings, and I'll try to work him out tomorrow!!!
Congrats to Ashley, Allen and Even on their new addition ,Tanner yesterday! It was lovely to hold a 4 hour old baby and I can't wait to hold you Owen!
